Welcome to The Body Odyssey Tattoos, Piercings & More!, operated by The Body Odyssey LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing our website at www.TheBodyOdysseyArts.com, booking an appointment, inquiring, visiting and/or receiving services at our studio, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Identification Requirement:

Customers must show valid un-expired government-issued photo identification before receiving any service. We reserve the right to refuse service if proper identification is not presented in full. You must be at least 18 years of age to receive a tattoo at our studio. Minors between the ages of 3 and 17 may get Pierced at our shop, but proper identification from the adult legal guardian is required, such as the legal guardian’s valid photo ID, the Minor’s birth certificate, and legal judicial paperwork.

2. Tattoo / Piercing Longevity & Healing:

All tattoos / piercings come with the understanding that any guarantees regarding longevity and healing are not possible. We are not responsible for the appearance or condition of any tattoo / piercing.

3. Intoxication Policy:

Any customer who, in the judgment of our artist(s), appears to be excessively intoxicated / under the influence of alcohol or other substances, will not be provided services and may be asked to leave the premises immediately. Deposits are non-refundable.

4. Payment Terms:

Payment must be provided in full immediately following the end of the service. Acceptable payment methods include cash and major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, and others), subject to change at our discretion. A non-refundable deposit may be required to secure your appointment.

5. Health Acknowledgment & Side Effects:

By agreeing to these Terms, you acknowledge that bleeding, irritation, bruising, or swelling may occur following any tattooing or piercing treatment performed at The Body Odyssey. You understand that these temporary side effects are expected, and typically resolve on their own with proper aftercare. You also agree to disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or medications that may affect the tattoo / piercing process or healing. We reserve the right to refuse service if we believe it is unsafe to proceed.

6. Limitation of Liability:

You agree that The Body Odyssey shall not be held liable or financially responsible for covering any expenses arising from the tattoo or piercing process, including but not limited to medical care, medications, or related treatment. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service in question.

7. Appointments & Cancellations:

Appointments must be booked in advance through our website or by contacting us directly. Rescheduling requests must be made at least 48 hours in advance to retain your deposit & apply it to the next available appointment date. No-shows, showing up late, or cancelling your service forfeits any deposit amounts you have paid. The Body Odyssey reserves the right to deny services to you at any time, for any reason.

8. SMS / Text Message / Email Communications:
By providing your mobile number and/or email address, we will send you transactional SMS / Email messages related to your visit / tattoo / piercing service(s).

Types of messages: Appointment confirmations, reminders, deposit and booking confirmations, review requests, aftercare follow-up messages, and birthday / special event promotions.

Message frequency: Varies based on your appointment activity (typically 1–4 messages per booking). Carriers are not liable for delayed or un-delivered messages.

Cost: Message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier plan.

Opt out: You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text message you receive.

No sharing: Mobile information, SMS opt-in data, email address, and consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. This information will only be shared with service providers strictly necessary to deliver the SMS / email service (e.g., our messaging platform).

9. Intellectual Property:

All content on www.TheBodyOdysseyArts.com, including tattoo designs, photographs, logos, artwork, and text, is the property of The Body Odyssey LLC or its artists and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our written permission.

10. Website Use:

You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe on the rights of others. We reserve the right to suspend or restrict access to anyone who misuses the site or our services.

11. Governing Law:

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
